How does delivery OTP verification work?

OTP helps confirm the order reached the right person.

Cedar GO Help · Orders & Delivery

Overview

Cedar GO has order delivery verification enabled. At drop-off, a one-time password (OTP) may be required so the delivery partner can mark the order delivered to the right person.

How it works

When the partner arrives, you receive or view an OTP in the customer experience and share it only with your Cedar GO delivery partner. The partner enters the code in the delivery app to complete delivery, usually alongside COD collection.

  • Keep your phone unlocked and nearby
  • Confirm the partner is delivering your order ID
  • Pay the COD total shown for the order
  • Share the OTP only at the door

What happens in practice

Without OTP, the partner may be unable to finish the job in the app. That protects customers from incorrect completion. Picture upload for delivery proof can also apply depending on driver settings.

Important live rules

  • OTP is part of live delivery verification, not an optional extra fee
  • Tips and delivery fees are still settled in the COD amount you pay
  • Do not share OTP over public social channels

What to do if something goes wrong

If the OTP does not appear, refresh the order screen and contact support while the driver waits. If you already paid but completion fails, keep the partner on site and escalate on WhatsApp with the order ID.
