What is Cash on Delivery?

Pay the delivery partner when the order arrives.

Cedar GO Help · Payments & COD

Overview

Cash on Delivery (COD) means you pay when the order arrives. On Cedar GO, COD is enabled and is the primary live payment method.

How it works

You place the order without online prepayment. The delivery partner collects the checkout total at drop-off—items after discounts, delivery charge unless free delivery applies, and any tip. Delivery OTP may be required to complete the order in the app.

  • Cash on Delivery — on
  • Digital payment — off
  • Customer wallet — off

What happens in practice

Have cash ready near the amount shown. Exact change helps partners who also manage cash-in-hand limits. Count the total with the partner before handing money, then complete OTP.

Important live rules

  • Platform currency for configured amounts is USD
  • Tips are optional presets (including 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5) up to a max of 10
  • Do not pay before the order is at your door unless support instructs otherwise

What to do if something goes wrong

If the partner asks for a different amount than checkout, refuse the mismatch and contact Cedar GO with screenshots. See also exact-cash guidance if you lack small bills.

COD keeps checkout simple while digital payment and wallet stay off. It also means delivery partners carry cash and must respect cash-in-hand limits. Your preparation of the correct total is part of making local delivery work smoothly in the active zone.
