Do delivery fees affect vendor commission?

Delivery fees are not an admin delivery-commission cut.

Cedar GO Help · Restaurants & Stores

Overview

No—delivery fees are not taken as admin delivery-charge commission in live settings. That commission rate is 0%. The 10% admin commission targets product value under platform rules.

How it works

  • Product commission: admin commission 10%
  • Delivery charge commission: 0%
  • Tips: for delivery partners

Customers still see delivery as part of COD when free delivery does not apply, but that line is not an extra vendor commission via the delivery-charge commission setting.

What happens in practice

Check vendor earnings screens per order. If a report confuses delivery with product, compare line items and ask support for a walkthrough using one sample order ID.

Important live rules

  • Free delivery threshold and minimum shipping charge affect customers, not this 0% delivery-commission rule
  • Do not invent a delivery commission percentage beyond live settings

What to do if something goes wrong

Contact Cedar GO with store name and order IDs if settlement does not match the 10% / 0% separation described here.

Train staff not to tell customers that “commission includes delivery.” The live split is intentional: product commission 10%, delivery-charge commission 0%, tips to partners. Clear language at the counter reduces heated COD conversations when free delivery does or does not apply at the 60 USD threshold.
