Food vs groceries — which module do I use?

Active: Food and Groceries. Off: Pharmacy and Parcels.

Cedar GO Help · Restaurants & Stores

Overview

Choose the module that matches what you sell. Live Cedar GO has Food and Groceries active. Pharmacy and Parcels are off.

How it works

  • Food — restaurants and meal-style menus
  • Groceries — stores selling grocery products

During onboarding, admin places your store in the correct module so customers find you in the right browse experience.

What happens in practice

A grill restaurant belongs in Food. A mini-market belongs in Groceries. Mixed businesses should ask Cedar GO which module fits primary inventory rather than inventing a pharmacy or parcels flow that is offline.

Important live rules

  • Customers only order live modules
  • Commission and COD rules apply in both active modules
  • Zone coverage still required for the store location you serve

What to do if something goes wrong

If you were placed in the wrong module, contact support before rebuilding the entire catalog. Use Join as Vendor notes or email with examples of your products.

Misfiled modules confuse customers browsing Food versus Groceries and can send the wrong expectations about preparation time. During onboarding, send Cedar GO two or three sample products so admin can place you correctly. Do not promise Pharmacy or Parcels fulfillment while those modules remain off in live settings.
