How do coupons and discounts work?
Promo codes and store discounts change the item total - not payment method.
Overview
Cedar GO can show store-level discounts and coupon or promo fields at checkout when a campaign is active. Discounts reduce the product portion of your order. They do not turn on digital payment or wallet; you still pay Cash on Delivery.
How it works
Enter a valid code if the cart offers a coupon field, or add discounted items that already show a reduced price. The checkout total recalculates items, then applies delivery charge rules and any tip you select. Free delivery by order amount still uses the configured threshold on the eligible total as shown in the app.

What happens in practice
If a coupon expires or does not match the store or module, the app rejects it and shows the regular price. Vendor commission settlement uses product value after applicable discounts under platform rules; customers simply pay the COD total displayed.
Important live rules
- Do not invent fees: only trust the checkout breakdown
- Wallet and digital payment stay off even when a coupon exists
- Guest and registered users follow the same promo eligibility shown in-app
